Skill Boost: Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Administration
The purpose of this course is to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize an opioid overdose and give care for a person experiencing an opioid overdose by administering medication until EMS personnel arrive and begin their care of the person. This course includes the demonstration and skill practice session of administering naloxone using a nasal spray or nasal atomizer. This course is designed to help participants feel confident and willing toact if they ever need to give care for an opioid overdose
